AMB-IT is now known as MYLAPS.  This is their newest "personal" type transponder, the RC4.  This transponder is compatible with older RC2/RC3 Timing Decoders from AMBrc as well as the new RC4 decoder from MYLAPS.  Basically, any track timing system that worked with earlier personal AMB transponders will work with these.

The RC4 Hybrid Transponder is roughly half the size and weight of the one it replaces to make for easier mounting.  The transponder itself does not have mounting tabs but instead slides into a mounting clip that can be screwed down.  After the clip is installed the transponder can be installed and removed with no tools at all!

MYLAPS RC4 Hybrid Transponders work in combination with the MYLAPS RC Timing System installed on the track at the start/finish line and optionally at intermediate points along the track.

Every time you cross these timing points, your transponder sends a signal to a detection loop embedded in the track. Based on these signals, the system records your lap time and lap counts.
